Ivan Gavanski is the founder and former partner at ACP Investment Partners LLP, where he began his career in November 2009 as one of the eight founding members of the firm. Before becoming a partner at ACP Investment Partners, Ivan worked as an Executive Director in the Private Wealth Management sector at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for client relations in Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Eastern Europe. By the end of his tenure at Goldman Sachs in September 2009, Ivan had become a key figure in Wealth Management for Eastern Europe.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Ivan was a Bond Market Manager and Management Consultant at GM Capital until 2004, and previously worked as a management consultant at Barclays Capital.

On December 31, 2018, ACP Investment Partners LLP was sold to the Swiss bank Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), one of the largest private banks in the world. Ivan continued to work as the Director for the Russian, CIS, and Eastern European business in London until September 2021, when he left UBP and launched his independent asset management firm, Umbra Capital, based in London.

Ivan holds a degree from the London Business School, where he studied Investment Management, as well as a degree in International Law from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
